Chiara Consonni went close to the podium and finished in fourth place at the Classic Brugge-De Panne, a round of the UCI Women's WorldTour. After 155 kilometres of racing, strangely enough, with no wind and pleasant temperatures, the peloton closed in on the day's two-girls breakaway and all the best riders sprinted for victory.

The team worked in the finale and Chiara Consonni sprinted to a near podium finish in Brugge. She was closed in, perhaps a little too far back in the last few hundred metres, and then came out in a comeback.

Victory for Elisa Balsamo of Lidl-Trek ahead of Charlotte Kool of Team dsm-firmenich-PostNL and third the Polish Daria Pikulik (Human Powered Health) who with the last stroke of the kidneys resisted the comeback of the Italian sprinter of UAE Team ADQ.

Sofia Bertizzolo and Karlijn Swinkels finished in the top 15, in 14^th and 15^th place respectively.

The team will be back in the race on Sunday 24 March at Gent-Wevelgem. Here are all the details.
