Alena Amialiusik will join with UAE Team ADQ in 2023

October 2, 2022

Alena Amialiusik is starting a new adventure with a two-year contract with the UAE Team ADQ.

An additional reinforcement ahead of the 2023 season for UAE Team ADQ is a rider of great experience and reliability, Alena Amialiusik, the 33 years old, Belarusian.

She is starting a new adventure with a two-year contract with the UAE Team ADQ.

In her rich career, Alena Amialiusik counts 23 victories and numerous results including a bronze medal in the Road European Championship, numerous National titles, and also titles at the TTT World Championships. In 2022, she won third place in a stage at the Tour de France Femmes. She is a hard worker with a long experience in World Tour competitions. She will be a very important support for all her new teammates.

The Belarusian living in Italy for several years, is now ready to start her new adventure. “I really like the project behind the team, and we will have a very strong and talented group of riders. I see the team as very balanced because we have very good climbers, sprinters and all-rounders and sure we can do together great things on the road. This is a very important but also very exciting step in my career. I do have a lot of experience and I really want to share it with my new teammates, and I'm looking forward to learning also from them. UAE Team ADQ is a new project that goes far beyond sport, and I love it! As female athlete we can show by our own example that there are no limits and we can do any sport, any job or whatever we want without any restrictions. We are strongly showing and changing the image of women in sport, said Alena.

UAE Team ADQ General Manager Rubens Bertogliati said: “Alena had a beautiful Tour de France Femmes. I saw her always very active, always able to get into the right breakaway. In a team it's not just the leaders that count, but riders with her characteristics and strong experience, who know how to move in the race and who with their actions allow the leaders to be able to stay calm in the peloton in the early moment of the races. She is a rider we rely on a lot and with the great experience she has gained, we think she can share a lot with all the other girls in our team”.
