After the win Safiya Alsayegh commented: “All thanks to God, all the support I received and the hard work I put in I was able to achieve this result. It is wonderful to win the UAE national road champion title once again. I would like to thank UAE Team ADQ for all the support they gave me on the way to this victory. With the help of my team I have always managed to win the national title since I joined the team in 2022 and became a professional cyclist. I am also very happy because I see that from year to year the level of local women cyclists is rising and it is something exceptional to see this progress. This appointment was an important step to check my progress, and I must say that with the hard work I am doing, under the supervision of my coach Cristina San Emeterio, we are working well on the path towards the Olympics. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way, from the people to the sponsors”.
