Tour de France Femmes: long and hard 4th stage

Long and hard stage today at the Tour de France Femmes, the fourth of 177.1 km from Cahors to Rodez.

Long and hard stage today at the Tour de France Femmes, the fourth of 177.1 km from Cahors to Rodez.

Our riders first worked hard to close on the large breakaway of the day that came to gain up to almost 10 minutes. Then in the final Persico, Magnaldi, Gasparrini and Baril stayed in the top group, but then lost contact in the final kilometers and Persico and Magnaldi finished in the Top 30 of the day.

The stage was won by the courageous Yara Kastelijn (Fenix-Deceuninck) last survivor of the day's breakaway who signed an incredible feat.
Second place at 1'11" for Demi Vollering (SD Worx - Protime) and third Anouska Koster (Uno-X Pro Cycling Team).

Tough day, but already tomorrow we will try again.
