That of the Ronde van Vlaanderen - Tour des Flandres is always a special day for cycling and today our riders were great protagonists.

Silvia Persico and Karlijn Swinkels were always in the best group fighting bravely.

When the race got going there were eight of them left in the lead and our team was the only one with two riders in front. 

They raced very well, intelligently. Karlijn Swinkels sacrificed a bit more and was the only one then to follow the attack of Shirin Van Anrooij, who came back to the front and then went on the counter attack. 

In the finale, Shirin Van Anrooij, Kasia Niewiadoma and Elisa Longo Borghini remained in front, with the latter then winning the three-man sprint and the race. 

Silvia Persico was left to fight in the first chasing group and at the finish in Oudenaarde, after 163km, she eventually finished in seventh place. Tenth was Karlijn Swinkels. Two riders in the top 10, a great result and a super team performance.
