Tereza Neumanova, a 25-year-old rider from the Czech Republic, will be the second new addition to UAE Team ADQ for the 2024 season.

A three-time national road champion (2019-2021-2022), her best result so far this year was a third place in a stage of the Tour de Suisse Women. She is another athlete who strengthens the team structure and brings a fair amount of experience to support her new teammates, especially in the sprints.

Tereza explains her choice that led her to sign a two-year contract with the new team. “I am absolutely certain that joining UAE Team ADQ represents the perfect opportunity for the next important step in my cycling career. This team offers me a platform not only to excel as a rider, but also to develop as an individual. From the very beginning it was clear that UAE Team ADQ was the right team fit for me. Talks with the management, sports directors and coaches left me in no doubt that they share the same vision for the future as I do. With their support I will be able to grow personally and achieve great success as a team”.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season Neumanova says: “My goal is to be ready for the final of the races, both as a valuable element at the front of the peloton to help the sprinters and in case I am asked to do my own final. Personally, I’m targeting races such as Strade Bianche and Roubaix among the spring classics and I would like to be selected for the roster of Tour de France Femmes. On a personal level my goal will be to get a place and participate at the Olympic Games in Paris”.

And the choice of UAE Team ADQ is made to tackle a new step of growth in her career: “As I approach my third season as a professional cyclist, I am well aware that there is still a lot to learn in order to compete at the highest level. That is why I am particularly attracted to UAE Team ADQ. The team embodies a unique mix of experienced professionals and up-and-coming talent, creating an environment conducive to learning and sharing experiences. With the new team I would like to work on improving my skills in the sprint leadout, both tactically and physically. It will be very important for me above all to develop the ability to make decisions in the critical moments of the sprint and to know how to take the right position”.

The Czech athlete added: “One of the most compelling reasons for choosing the UAE Team ADQ is the international nature of both the riders and staff. Inclusivity and equal opportunities for all members are key. For me, it is crucial to feel valued and appreciated as an integral part of the team and this philosophy is exemplified by UAE Team ADQ. With its diverse composition, this is a flagship team for unity and equality within the women's WorldTour group. I am thrilled to join this fantastic group of people who share a passion for cycling and a commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive environment”.

Tereza, in conclusion, also talks about the project created around the new team to promote cycling among women in the UAE: “As an athlete I am happy to help bring about positive changes in society. In places where women's participation might be limited, it is important to have role models. These role models can inspire others and show the way. I believe it is our task to use our fame to help make these changes”.
