The Paris-Roubaix Femmes confirms itself as a hellish, tough race where a good dose of luck is also needed.

The Paris-Roubaix Femmes confirms itself as a hellish, tough race where a good dose of luck is also needed.
That which was lacking today for Chiara Consonni, who crashed and had two punctures while she was in the best group.

Forced to chase, she then finished the race in the top 30 at the end of a very difficult day. Also good was Anastasia Carbonari who helped Consonni in a difficult moment and then completed her race in the legendary Roubaix Velodrome, for her it was her first participation in the Queen of the Classics.

The race, which took place from Denain to Roubaix for 148.5 km with 17 cobblestone sectors, was won by world champion Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx), who sprinted ahead of Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek).
