UAE TEAM ADQ

Historic day for the UAE Development team because for the first time this team's jersey appeared on the roads of an official cycling race in the United Arab Emirates in Sharjan Al Nazwa.

In fact Zahra Hussain finished second at the UAE National Time Trial Championships behind UAE Team ADQ athlete Safiya Al Sayegh.

Shaika Rashid, a 'guest' athlete who had the opportunity to train in December and January at the UAE Development Team training camps in Italy and Spain, finished third. 

Here are the words of Zahra Hussein:
“The goal of this 20km time trial was to challenge myself and try to improve for the upcoming races. The training has paid off and I am glad and happy about it. I got second place after Safiya, my teammate in the national team and ryder of UAE Team ADQ. I hope to get first place next year and to make my family UAE Development Team and UAE Team ADQ proud and happy.”

This is the comment of Shaika Rashid:
“Today it was hard, because I didn't feeling very well. I'm not very happy with my performance today, my legs were bad. For sure I will do better next time and I will keep fighting until I reach my goals."
