UAE Team ADQ ended the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with a smile.

UAE Team ADQ ended the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with a smile, which finished today at the iconic finish line of La Super Planche des Belles Filles. After a day spent all on the attack, Spanish champion Mavi Garcia received the prize for the most combative rider of the day. A recognition of her and the entire team's hard work over the eight days. Mavi Garcia finished the stage in ninth place and tenth in the GC. Dutch rider Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team) won the last two mountain stages, legitimising her yellow jersey.

Start in Lure and finish in Super Planche des Belles Filles after 123.3 km. After the first climb of the day, Mavi Garcia went on the attack with another ten riders, gaining over a minute on the yellow jersey group. The best of the bunch then fell back in the final kilometres of the tough final climb and the Spaniard of UAE Team ADQ managed to stay in the top 10.

It was an amazing experience for the whole team during this first edition of the Tour Femmes, completed by a very united and determined group of girls.

These are the words of the leader Mavi Garcia at the end of the race: "It's a prize that I think I deserve in its entirety because in these days I really put everything I had into trying to stay as far in front as possible, giving myself strength and always being positive even though it was very difficult because so many unforeseen events happened. For sure I didn't have good legs, but I leave this Tour happy and with good feelings and I receive this prize of combativity that I dedicate to the whole team. Every race I do is like spending a year of my life. So many things always happen: you cry, you laugh, you fall, you get back up and this finish here today at the top of Plance des Belles Filles with so many people and so much expectation was fantastic. The truth is that this Tour has been really incredible, it has been a new experience for all of us and it has given us wonderful sensations that we will remember forever”.
