UAE Team ADQ closes the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta as a great protagonist.

UAE Team ADQ closes the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta as a great protagonist, ending today with a double top 5 and with Mavi Garcia on the podium with the white jersey of the most combative athlete of the race.

In the sprint that decided the fifth and final stage in the capital Madrid, after 95.7 km, third place for Marta Bastianelli and fifth for Sofia Bertizzolo. World champion Elisa Balsamo conquers success, she anticipated all her rivals.

Marta Bastianelli collects a new WorldTour podium, Bertizzolo confirms herself at a high level and Mavi Garcia, with the prize for combativeness, is recognised for the great commitment and tenacity shown every day.

UAE Team ADQ General Manager Rubens Bertogliati said: "We are very happy with how this Vuelta ended. We showed that we work well together and today we reaped the benefits of teamwork. This is an experience that has taught us many things for the future. Above all we will have to work to prepare better for the team time trial and the more demanding stages and make ourselves even more competitive for these events. Now we focus on the last races of the season. Six of our riders will be at the World Championships and will arrive in Australia ready, as today's results show. And also for the team the season is not over, we still have some very good races that we will try to honour in order to close this year in the best possible way".
